Fight at a funeral in Brooklyn: there are wounded. VIDEO

Police are investigating a fight that began after a FedEx truck driver allegedly tried to drive through a crowd of people who were leaving after the funeral of the Brooklyn Mosque.

Witness of the fight in the Islamic center Beit al-Makdica on Sixth Avenue said that on Monday, at about 12: 30, the plans of the truck driver were disturbed by a crowd of about 70-100 of the bereaved, writes ABC7NY.

Because of the crowd of people created a traffic jam. Eyewitnesses describe what happened as an attack of "road rage."

“The vehicle was not moving and I assume the driver was trying to navigate his way through. Perhaps he did not see the parishioner and hit him,” said witness Naeem Javad.

It is known that a pedestrian received minor injuries. Some eyewitnesses tried to stop the FedEx truck moving, and it was then that the situation escalated.

“It all started with them trying to hold the truck in place because they didn’t want it to drive away. First there was a verbal altercation, and after that a fight began,” Javad said.

Then two FedEx employees and an assistant went to the back of the truck and locked the doors. According to witnesses, later improvised means such as a fire extinguisher and even a box cutter went into action.

A parishioner of the mosque says that the assistant ran away. Two FedEx employees were taken into custody, and the nephew of a man whose funeral took place in a mosque was also arrested.

All of them were taken to district hospitals with minor injuries. They are expected to be charged in connection with the incident.

A FedEx representative released a statement:

“We have received preliminary reports of this alarming incident and are working with the investigating authorities to determine the facts. Until then, further questions should be directed to the local law enforcement agency. ”
