The girl had an accident and brought her almost severed limb to the hospital
A British tourist had an accident in Mexico and brought her almost severed arm to an emergency room. Writes about this Dailymail.
26-year-old Chelsea Vella from High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire) said that on September 18 she was with her friend on a field trip near Puerto Vallarta. Buggy rolled over when they lost control of their vehicle and flew out onto slippery ground wet from a recent hurricane.
The girl instinctively extended her hand to cover her head, but the buggy fell right on her, almost tearing off her limb.
“I remember looking down and my elbow was twisted the other way and my right arm was hanging on a piece of skin,” she said.

Vella said that on the way to the hospital, she "felt dying." Girlfriend tore off a t-shirt to hold her hand. According to doctors, this probably saved the life of the victim.
“As soon as I felt the pain, I just went hysterical,” Vella says. “All I kept thinking was, 'I'm going to lose my arm.'
Surgeons operated on Vella and were forced to amputate her right arm after the girl stopped breathing during the operation.
Her sister Sabiha created the GoFundMe page to buy the “best prosthesis” for the girl and help with “legal costs”. Now collected over 7000 pounds (8 615 dollars).

“On September 18, while on vacation in Mexico, Chelsea and her friend went on a daylong excursion,” Sabiha wrote. “During the excursion, unfortunately, there was a terrible accident that resulted in Chelsea being rushed to hospital and having to undergo surgery due to serious injuries. At some point during the operation Chelsea stopped breathing and the surgeons had to do everything they could to resuscitate her, unfortunately the only way to keep Chelsea alive was to amputate her right arm.”
“We started this fund to try and raise money to buy a better prosthesis so she can have a safer future. The funds raised will also go towards legal fees and help Chelsea with her daily life when she returns home,” Sabiha wrote.
Vella said that since she returned to the UK she has had to learn everything all over again as she is right-handed.
