Kids can visit dozens of San Diego attractions for free: the promotion is valid throughout October

San Diego is a children's paradise, especially in October. Kids Free San Diego is an annual program where children can visit attractions for free, reports NBC.

From October 1 to October 31, children ages 12 and under can enjoy free admission to dozens of museums and attractions throughout San Diego County, the San Diego Museum Council announced.

At most attractions, two children can enter free of charge for every adult ticket purchased. Some locations are free for the whole family.

The program, in partnership with the San Diego Tourism Authority and with support from First 5 San Diego, aims to expand access to San Diego's enriching museum experiences.

It is quite popular: last year about 85 children and adults took part in it.

“This is a full month of family fun that won't break the bank,” Bob Lehman, executive director of the San Diego Museum Council, said in a press release. — Whether you're a local or visiting San Diego, there's always something new to discover during Kids Free, including new exhibits or historic sites, gardens, aquariums, state parks and other non-traditional "museum" events that people may not know about."

And no matter your child's interests - art, history, science, nature, wildlife, trains or ships - there is something for everyone.

The promotion includes popular local attractions such as SeaWorld, Legoland, Sesame Place, Belmont Park и San Diego Zoo.

You can download the "Kids Free" coupon for the place you want to visit, on the Museum Council website. Guests are advised to check the attraction's website before visiting in case restrictions are in place.
