American Airlines flight attendant made a fire and extinguished it heroically
The FBI arrested a flight attendant of American Airlines, who set a fire in the toilet of a Dallas-Betreuth flight, and then heroically put it out.
The motives for the crime are not yet known. Jonathan Tafoya-Montano worked for American Airlines for about a year and a half without any complaints.
According to court documents, Jonathan Tafoy-Montano initially gave false testimony about the accident in the plane, but eventually admitted to the authorities that he deliberately set fire to the compartment with paper towels in the toilet, and then put out the fire with a fire extinguisher when the fire broke out.
The captain was notified of the fire, who decided to make an emergency landing in Detroit.
As a result of the incident, no one was hurt.
During the investigation, the FBI agents found that none of the passengers and flight attendants used the restroom at least 15-20 minutes before the fire. Only Jonathan Tafoya-Montano was in close proximity to the toilet when the fire started.
On Tuesday, the flight attendant admitted to arson and making false statements. Jonathan is accused of “destroying aircraft and lethal objects” and “false testimony.” In addition, now he cannot fly on board an airplane without court permission.
