Study: American burgers contain DNA from rats and humans
In burgers that sell in the United States, found the DNA of rats and people.
The study was conducted by Clear Labs. To analyze the constituent burgers, 258 burgers were purchased. Of these, in two vegetarian samples, the presence of meat was detected, three cutlets contained rat DNA and revealed one case of human DNA content.
The report explains the reasons for the appearance of human DNA in hamburger meat:
The most likely reason [for the appearance of human DNA in meat is ed. Foumdaily] is the accidental entry of hair, skin or nails during the manufacturing process.
4,3 percent hamburgers contained pathogenic DNA, which can cause food poisoning.
Some pathogens found in products can cause symptoms similar to tuberculosis, gastroenteritis and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
The burgers also found a discrepancy with the label. They found beef in two vegetarian burgers, and no black beans were found in black bean burgers.
In addition, 12 samples of hamburgers contained on 100 kcal more than indicated on the package.
