American woman bathing at the shore, bitten by a shark
A family in South Carolina met with a shark aground when resting on the beach.
Terry Egan, his wife Jennifer and their two daughters, Shannon and Taylor, bathed on a sandbar in Myrtle Beach when something stuck in Jennifer’s leg.
Later, the daughters noticed a shark and warned other people in the water.
“She [daughter – ed. ForumDaily] began shouting: “Shark, shark, come on, guys, shark, come out.” We all started coming out, and by that time other people who had seen it too were starting to fuss,” Egan said.
Terry added that during the incident that occurred between 10 and 11 in the morning, the beach was full of people.
Egan shared photos of the fin sticking out of the water on Facebook.
The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office published a report stating that a shark bit a woman when she swam on a sandbar. She was taken to the hospital. The injuries do not threaten her life.
As a rule, blackfin sharks are afraid of people and do not pose a danger, however, if they have food, they become aggressive and can attack. On average, these sharks reach the length of the 1,5 meter.
