America is experiencing a car boom

In 2015, the 17,47 of a million new cars and trucks was sold in the USA. This is a new record, with the previous one - 17,35 million machines - lasted 15 years (it was installed in 2000-m).

Americans are buying new cars because of the growth of the economy (and, therefore, income), low interest rates on loans and lower gasoline prices.

Most of the cars in the United States sold concern General Motors (3,1 million cars). Ford is on the second place (2,6 million), Toyota is on the third (2,5 million), Fiat-Chrysler (2,2 million) is on the fourth. Almost all automakers sales increased by 3-5%.

The car boom has recently been experienced by many countries in which sales of new cars fell during several years of recession. For example, in Europe for the first three quarters of the year 2015 was sold on 8,8% of cars more than in the same period a year earlier.

In other countries, the collapse in the automotive market continues. For example, in Russia for nine months 2015 of the year was sold on 43% less cars than in the same period a year earlier.
