Airbnb to provide free housing for 20 Afghan refugees
Airbnb will provide free housing for 20 Afghan refugees, service co-founder Brian Chesky said in Twitter.
Tenants will rent out their housing of their own free will. The rent will be covered by Airbnb and the Refugee Foundation.
“While we will pay rent, we could not do this without the generosity of our landlords,” Chesky wrote.

Chesky argues that the displacement and resettlement of Afghan refugees is one of the largest humanitarian crises of our time. And the company feels a responsibility to take the first step.
Starting today, Airbnb will start housing 20,000 Afghan refugees globally for free.

“I hope this inspires others to do the same. There is no time to waste,” Chesky added.
