Florida woman calls 911 for broken refrigerator and gets a replacement
Sherrill Nanartonis of Martin County in Florida felt she was in a crisis: her refrigerator broke down and her food went bad. The woman called 911, which is reported on Facebook page county sheriff's office.
Cheryl said her financial resources were limited - the woman did not have the funds to buy a new refrigerator.
Although 911 is for emergencies only, police have been sent to Cheryl's home in Jensen Beach. They explained to the woman the importance of using this number only for emergencies.
But it didn't stop there.
Realizing how upset Cheryl was, the cops decided they couldn't leave her problem without action. As a result, two deputies and a police sergeant agreed with Goodwill in Jensen Beach to give the woman a refrigerator, which had been used very carefully.
