Registration deadlines for the Green Card lottery 2019 changed: previously submitted applications canceled

Online registration for the lottery Green Card 2019 (DV 2019) 3 began on October 2017 of the year, but ten days after the start of receiving applications, it became known that “for technical reasons” the process had to be stopped, and previously submitted applications were canceled, the official lottery website reports dvlottery.state.gov.

The new deadline for applications for DV 2019 is from October 18 to November 22. The period for determining the lottery results has also shifted, and now you can check whether you have become the owner of a green card by registering an application number for DV 2019 with 15 in May 2018, instead of 2 in May, as previously announced.

“Due to technical issues, the registration period for DV-2019 has changed and all applications made before October 18, 2017 must be re-completed by the applicant and submitted for review. We regret any inconvenience caused to applicants. However, to ensure fairness and protect the integrity of the process for all stakeholders, we must restart the application process this year (DV-2019),” reported US Embassy Ecuador and later confirmed the official lottery site dvlottery.state.gov.

They stressed that all applications submitted before October 18 will not be considered, and the applicant must re-enter the registration process during the new registration period.

How to apply

The only way: from 15 May 2018, using your confirmation number, you can check the status of the application on the website: www.dvlottery.state.gov.

The State Department will not send any electronic or regular letters. The only email you can receive from the US Department of State is a reminder to check your status after the lottery. Moreover, the official institution never asks to make money transfers. Be especially attentive if you submitted an application through an intermediary.
