May winter storm: California expects to see 90 snow
Although it is now May, California is threatened with a winter storm that can bring up to 3 feet (91 cm) of snow to the region.
Over the next few days, a heavy storm will pass through California, which will create weather conditions in the state that look more like January than May, writes CNN.
Snow will begin in the Sierra Mountains on the evening of May 15, and until the morning of May 17 it may drop to the tops up to 2 – 3 ft (60-91 cm) of snow.
Yosemite National Park has announced the closure of the Glacier Point Road due to the storm.

In this case, rain is expected in most parts of the state. San Francisco, where an average of about half an inch (1,3 cm) of rain falls in May, will receive an 1-2 inch (2,5-5 cm) only during this storm.
“It's good for the environment, but I've already put my stuff away for the rainy weather and now it's coming again and will continue until the end of the week. Baseball games are canceled, motorcycle races may be canceled, my kids are not happy about it,” said Allison Schutte, a journalist living in the region.
In some areas of Northern California, rainfall from 3 to 4 inches (7,5-10 cm) may fall out over the next five days.
