“When I woke up after a 20-day coma, I found out that my father and I had been poisoned. I still find it difficult to believe that such an attack was carried out on us. The fact that a nerve agent was used in this situation is shocking. We are lucky that we survived this attempted murder,” said Yulia Skripal.

She added that the healing process was slow and “very painful.”

“I don’t want to go into details, I’ll just say. that the treatment was invasive and very depressing,” the woman admitted.

“I was discharged from the hospital on April 9, treatment continues to this day. My life has been turned upside down and I am now trying to come to terms with the incredible changes in my life, both physical and emotional,” she said.

She added that she is now focused on helping her father in the process of recovery, after which Julia hopes to return to Russia.

“In the future, I hope to return home to my country,” said Yulia Skripal.

She asked to respect the privacy of her and her father, and to give them time to “fully recover and accept what happened.”

However, she added that she did not want to use the services of the Russian Embassy in Britain, which she was offered.

“I am grateful to the Russian embassy for the assistance they offered, but right now I am not ready and do not want to take advantage of it,” she said.

The woman once again emphasized that no one can speak for her and Sergey Skripal, except for themselves.
