Mate: woman demands couple to cut down their garden because of her son's allergy
This story has caused a lot of controversy. A mother asked a couple who moved to her area to cut down the walnut trees because her son is severely allergic to them. The edition told in more detail Independent.
The issue was raised on the Reddit forum, where it received over 11 votes and 400 comments.
A user named DishProfessional432 wrote that she and her wife had moved to the countryside from the city.
One of the neighbors named Amanda soon stopped by their house to ask why they had scattered peanuts on their porch. They replied that it was for birds and squirrels.
A woman who lives a few streets away noticed that her 11-year-old son was severely allergic to peanuts, walnuts, eggs and shellfish and asked the couple not to leave nuts on the porch.

As she explained, birds and squirrels can drop or hide nuts next to her house, which is a few streets away.
“I’ll admit I was a little wary about this because we purposefully moved to the countryside to avoid restrictions, but my wife convinced me it wasn’t a big deal because we could just switch to seeds,” the user explained.
The couple did indeed switch to seeds for the sake of the baby, but now they have a new problem with the same mother.
These neighbors were selling walnuts from 10 trees growing on their property to make extra money, but now Amanda has trouble with that too.
“Two weeks ago, Amanda knocked on our door again,” the post reads.

“My wife, who is very non-confrontational, came out and Amanda demanded to see our walnut trees since she had heard from a neighbor that they were growing on our land,” the post continued.
She then told them that "obviously they need to be removed."
Later, she returned to the house with a petition signed by 20 residents of the area, demanding that the trees be removed.
Many Reddit commenters said the couple were right not to remove the trees.
“Amanda says crazy things,” one user commented, while another wrote: “It’s unrealistic to expect someone a few streets away from her to cut down trees she hasn’t even known about for years.”
Another added: "It smacks of an overprotective mother using her child's allergies as a way to bully people."
