New Yorkers finally felt the coming of autumn. Thermometers descend all below the mark in 12 degrees Celsius. As recalled Time-outAccording to the law, all homeowners are obliged to provide the residents of their homes with heat.

On rule, which applies from October 1 to May 31, homeowners must turn on the heating if daytime temperatures drop below 12 degrees and nighttime temperatures drop below 4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the law determines that the temperature in the apartment during the day should not be lower than 20 degrees Celsius, at night - not lower than 12. These are the minimum acceptable requirements.

The official website of the City Hall of New York also reports that violations can be reported by calling: 311 or 212-504-4115.
