Taxis on the sidewalk caused a panic in central London. VIDEO
Four people were injured, including heavy ones, after the taxi drove onto the pavement in London.
The incident, which occurred on Southampton Street, Covent Garden, is not considered a terror, police said. One person was sent to the main trauma center with a serious leg injury. The other two were taken to hospital with minor injuries, and the fourth was sent to paramedics.
A taxi driver was detained at the scene.
Police believe that the collision involved two cars.
Eyewitnesses saw a man under a taxi and "heard screams" when the car jumped out onto the sidewalk.
Another witness said that at first he considered the incident a terrorist act.
“Everyone was running, panicking and screaming,” he added.
