All US national parks have free admission for a week.
Each year, the National Park Service offers free entrance tickets for several special days. But this year, on the occasion of the centenary of the service, all national parks will not charge for the whole week.
This year, all US national parks can be visited free of charge from 16 to 24 April. Here you can view full list of parks, entry to which will be free.
If there is no opportunity to visit the parks in the coming days, nature lovers will still have a chance to do it:
- from August 25 to 28 - Birthday of the National Park Service
- September 24 is National Public Lands Day
- November 11 — Veterans Day
Yellowstone National Park was founded first in 1872 year. National Park Service was created by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 for managing the national parks and monuments of 35 at that time. To date, there are 400 locations under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service in 50 states and the District of Columbia.
