For the first time, the Givenchy show in New York is accessible to “ordinary” people

The show of the French collection of Givenchy at the New York Fashion Week will be available to the general public for the first time, reports WWD.

The publication notes that several hundred “ordinary people” will be able to attend the event, as well as students from local fashion schools. Earlier only invited representatives of the fashion industry, celebrities and journalists could get to the show.

Fashion House collaborates with the authorities of New York. Ticket sales will begin in the coming days, information about where and for how much they can be purchased will be distributed through local media. While it is known that 280 tickets will be distributed among students of the Parsons, Pratt Institute and The High School for Fashion Industries institutes, another 100 will go to citizens who live near the Lincoln Center, where the show will be held.

The event will be held on 11 September - the anniversary of the 2001 attacks of the year. “This is a very delicate date for America, so our show will be one of family and love,” commented the creative director of the fashion house Riccardo Tishi. Art director of the show will be the Serbian artist and master of performance Marina Abramovich. Previously, she had already collaborated with Tishi - in 2012, she appeared in a Givenchy ad, and a year later, together with the designer, she worked on the design of the production of Bolero in the Paris Opera Garnier.

Fashion Week in New York was first held in 1943 year and is considered one of the most authoritative events in the fashion industry. It is held twice a year: collections of the fall-winter season are shown in February, and spring-summer trends are shown in September. This time the event starts on September 4 and runs until September September 11.
