Virtuoso without hands: Russian brilliantly plays the piano

Russian teenager Alexei Romanov was born without hands, but this did not prevent him from learning how to play the piano in two years.

15-year-old Alexey Romanov is an orphan. Who was born without a hand the guy is studying in a boarding school in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. More recently, the young man did not know the notes, but the music attracted him all his life.

It all started when he listened to the works of Mozart, Vivaldi and other composers. After that, the teenager began to take the first steps towards his dream.

Having asked the teacher for help, he studied with her every day, mastering melodies and downloading sheet music from the Internet. She helped him play tunes from the most popular films - "Twilight", "Titanic". Later, his initiative was supported not only by teachers, but also by his friends.

“Two of my friends helped me a lot. They taught me the basics of music - they told me how to read notes. They still help me to this day. They send me sheet music that I study. If I like something, I remember it,” Romanov said.

First success

The adoptive parents of Alexey, Vladimir and Louise Levachkovye, immediately noticed his penchant for art and bought him a synthesizer. Over time, Romanov began to participate in music competitions and won at one of them.

In mid-February, he performed with a small chamber orchestra of La Primavera, after which he was invited to study at a music school.

Alexey received an invitation to the Stars of Tomorrow project and played with the orchestra on the big stage. The audience was delighted with the skills of the young man. Even the chief conductor of the orchestra marveled at the guy’s talent.

After the performance, the young musician attracted a lot of public and media attention.

“During the concert with the orchestra, I was shaking and I was very worried. I can’t even remember what happened,” Romanov said.

“I went on stage, sat down and started playing. I felt my knees shaking. Then I realized that everything was fine, and the melody “flowed” on its own. And so I calmed down."

Such as Alex, should be called people with unlimited possibilities. Cheerful, gifted guy is really passionate about music, and thanks to his gift he is ready to move forward, despite all obstacles.
