Vice Prime Minister of Russia accused of animal abuse

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin December 19 conducted a tour of the Advanced Research Foundation for Serbian President Alexander Vucic. During the tour, Vucic was shown a liquid in which to breathe.

And in order to prove its functionality, a lively dachshund nicknamed Nicholas was forcibly placed in a tank of liquid, writes “Medusa".

The record shows that the animal actively resisted, but a man in a white coat was immersed in a dog and kept him in the tank for about a minute. The dog all this time trying to get out.

Then the dachshund was taken out, turned upside down with the muzzle so that liquid flowed out of the lungs, and wiped with towels.

A video of this experiment caused outrage on social networks - users claimed that the animal was put at risk for the idle interest of Dmitry Rogozin and Aleksandar Vucic.

When asked to comment on the situation, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said: “Is the dog alive? Alive. Why questions?

Rogozin himself had to justify himself. He said that no one tormented the dog, she participated in the experiment, and stressed that the animals are fine.

Vice Prime Minister decided to pick up the dog itself.

"I understand that such experiments are necessary, but I was humanly worried about the dog and immediately decided to take it for myself", - wrote Rogozin in the microblogging Twitter.

Nicholas will stay with the politician in a few weeks, because after the experiment the animal needs quarantine.

Liquid breathing technology, which the Advanced Research Foundation calls the unique Russian development, is not a dozen years; similar studies and experiments were conducted both in Russia and in the USA. Such technologies do not yet have a real application: they are imperfect and do not allow breathing for a long time. In theory, liquid breathing can be used in deep-sea diving and when working in hazardous conditions.
