In Japan, fired on an American military base
The US Land Forces Camp Camp base in the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa, southwest of Tokyo, was fired from an improvised rocket launcher.
There was no damage, no one was hurt.
An explosion near the base was reported to the police by local residents. After that, an improvised launcher was found on a peasant field adjacent to a military facility.
Such incidents in Japan periodically arrange a few ultra-left groups. Shelling is usually done so as not to cause any damage.
It is believed that with the help of such attacks ultra-left organizations seek to recall their existence. It is possible that this shelling was timed to coincide with the current visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to the United States.
Quite a lot of US military facilities have been deployed in Japan, and more recently US military presence causes increasing discontent among the population. This is connected with the damage to the environment, and with the increasing frequency of offenses involving the US military.
