In the US, a newborn baby has become a victim of tornado

The newborn died and 28 people were injured when a tornado flew into Watford City in North Dakota, lifting vehicles into the air and destroying more than 100 buildings.

The storm hit the city shortly after midnight, most of the injured were in the Prairie View RV Park trailer park, writes LA Times.

A newborn boy, just one week old, died from injuries sustained when the storm turned his family’s home-trailer over.

According to meteorologists, the tornado's wind speed ranged from 111 to 135 miles (179 to 217 km) per hour. When it hit Watford City, the storm had wind speeds of 127 miles (204 km) per hour.

37-year-old Clifford Bowden was in his trailer during the tornado collapse, he said the storm lifted the car and threw it back onto the ground.

"It was scary. I think I'm a pretty cool guy. But this storm made me shake uncontrollably,” the man admitted.

According to authorities, the 122 facilities in the RV park were completely destroyed. Still 79 were seriously damaged, 120 suffered minor damage.
