In the US, twin sisters turned into twin brothers
Twin sisters from the United States at the same time decided to become twin brothers.
Jacklin and Jennifer Grafe from Baltimore, Maryland, were born in June 1995 in a family of conservative Christians. They admitted that from childhood they dreamed of going to bed and waking up as boys, although they had never heard of transgender people. In a religious school, they fell in love with girls, but did not even speak about their feelings to each other because of the fear of being expelled.
In 18 years, they declared themselves transgender, took the names Jack and Jace and moved to Georgia. In April, 2017, the twins began hormone therapy, and in August, 2018 experienced breast surgery.
Jack, who works as a deputy sheriff, admits that although their lives have changed for the better, not everyone around them accepts him and his brother: “People still refer to us as women. When I hear “she” or “her,” it’s like a punch in the stomach.” Jace, who just entered the police academy, adds that his brother's support is very important to him: “I always dreamed of this, but I would not have had the courage if it were not for my brother. When you have a twin, you don’t feel alone, they go through the same difficulties, so you feel stronger.”
