In the US, calculated the number of violators of the visa regime

The US Department of Homeland Security reports that about 1% arrived in the country by air and by sea, stayed in America longer than the deadline.

According to data released by the ministry on Tuesday, about 45 million visitors had to leave the country at some point in the year before 30 September, but 416 500 people didn’t do that. Another 66 500 people stayed in the country longer than they were supposed to, but later they left.

This statistic covers people who came to the country for work or as tourists, either on visas for a specific period, or from countries whose citizens have the right to stay in the United States for a certain time without a visa. In total, these groups account for 85% of the total number of visitors arriving in the country by sea or by air.

The smallest percentage of violators is noted in 38 countries with which the US has a visa-free regime. The cumulative rate of violations of their tenure in America for these countries is 0,65%, and none of them had an indicator higher than 2,5%.

For the remaining 154 countries, as reflected in the statistics, the collective index is 1,6%, and for 10 of them - more than 10%. However, most of the violators occur in countries from where relatively few people come to the United States, while states with hundreds of thousands who come to America mainly show indicators that do not exceed 2%.
