In Hillview, Kentucky, local resident William Merideth was arrested for opening fire on a flying drone. He is accused of damaging someone else's property and creating a threat of danger, since it is forbidden to shoot within the city.

Drone owner David Boggs claims that his aircraft flew high, no lower than fifty meters above the ground. He also stated that the damaged drone costs $ 1800.

Meridette, in turn, claims that he defended his property as the drone flew over his house too low. He shot at the aircraft from his pistol. When the drone owner came to understand, Merideth threatened to start shooting again.

Representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States argue that shooting down drones is very dangerous. They can fall and injure people or damage property.
