Tacoma, south of Seattle, was suddenly hit by snow, so Stevens offered to arrange a snow fight. Its publication quickly gathered many reposts. In total, more than three thousand people declared their desire to take part in the battle with snowballs. As a result, hundreds of people of all ages from different parts of the city gathered in a city park, split into two teams and started a snow fight.

People used sledges and even inverted picnic tables as shields. The snow battle lasted almost two hours.

Washington Governor Jay Insley supported the action, but advised to stay away from the roads.
"This is the perfect morning to pack up and play in the snow, but if possible, stay away from the road" - wrote he's on his Twitter microblog.
