In the plane on the flight from New York there was a fire because of the electronic cigarette
On board the Delta airline, which is preparing to fly from New York’s La Guardia Airport to Houston (TX), a fire occurred while boarding passengers.
Its cause was an electronic cigarette that caught fire on the luggage rack, reports RIA News.
One of the passengers of the flight published in his microblog Twitter video of the incident.
“I was sitting several rows away, but another person was closer and filmed the fire on his phone! Apparently the vape exploded and the bag caught fire,” he wrote.

The stewardess quickly responded to the incident and hit the flame with a fire extinguisher. No harm done.
Some users of social networks after the incident called for a ban on bringing electronic cigarettes on board aircraft. The airline clarified that they can not be charged in flight, and also stressed that passengers are offered to transport them in a special case to prevent damage or unintended activation.
