This journey took only three minutes to walk, but MS-13 recruiters turned it into a kind of symbolic corridor, telling teenagers that if they want to go through it, they must join the gang or they will have problems.

Therefore, the police, in cooperation with the city administration, decided to cut down trees in this area.

In addition, law enforcement officers conducted several arrests of recruiters, which also reduced the activity of gangsters.

MS-13 members have committed 2016 killings in Suffolk County since the start of 17.

About 400 district residents, according to police, are related to the gang. The police began to monitor them, launched a campaign to identify illegal firearms.

Since the launch of the initiative in September 2016, more than 230 members of MS-13 have been arrested in Suffolk.

MS-13 has been operating on the streets of several US cities for almost 30 years, starting in Los Angeles, California. Today in the US there are more than 10 thousands of fighters of this gang, and around the world their number is estimated from 100 to 300 thousands of members, turning it into one of the most influential groups of the planet.

MS-13 usually recruits children of 8 – 10 years. By the 18 years, they are already hardened criminals with rich criminal experience. Recruitment takes place right on the sports fields and in schools, and for refusing to join the ranks of the gang can be killed.
