In New York, a child died trying to get to the phone, locked in the next room

15-year-old future actress wanted so much to pick up her mobile phone from a closed room at Tribeck's party that she climbed the fire escape to get into the room through the window, but she crashed to death.

According to law enforcement sources, a student at Beacon High School slipped and fell from the fifth floor of a residential building on Reade Street near West Broadway in Manhattan near 23: 00 on Monday. She fell on her back. She was immediately taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where she died.

“It’s heartbreaking, literally heartbreaking,” said one of the girl’s neighbors, Vicki Waud. “She was amazing and [her father] was an amazing single parent.”

The owner of the apartment was out of town, and some teenagers were drinking, the police said.

At some point, Rosh climbed out of the window onto the fire escape to try to get her phone, but lost her balance when she maneuvered to get into the window of a locked room, according to police.

Friends described the girl as calm and intelligent.

“In class she was very attentive, disciplined and a good listener. “Very bright,” said one teacher. “She was very close to her father. They were always together."

Her father, Theseus Roche, is a director at Manhattan Youth. He is a writer, actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild.

In the apartment building, windows leading to the fire escape are arranged in a dangerous way, said a former resident who lived on the sixth floor.
