In New York, weekend weather can break 60 summer record
The Arctic cold front, which is moving to the northeast, will update the 60 summer record for low temperatures in New York, writes Daily Mail.
According to the National Weather Service, on Friday, November 10, the city will reach a maximum temperature of + 2 Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be -4 degrees Celsius.
If the air temperature drops to -4, it will beat the previous record low of -1 degrees 10 in November 1954 of the year.
However, cold weather can break temperature records not only in New York, but also in other localities.
“This will be the coldest weather of the season,” the National Weather Service said Wednesday.
A similar decrease in temperature this year occurs for the first time since March.
However, temperatures are expected to rise on Saturday. Thermometer bars will show + 4 degrees of heat.
Meteorologist AccuWeather Alex Sosnovsky urged residents to prepare themselves and prepare their homes for the winter.
“Outdoor plumbing in unheated areas should be winterized as temperatures will plummet below freezing,” he said.
