In New York, the mother of the drug broke up with two children
In New York, 38-year-old Tara Fontana is accused of being in a state of drug intoxication when she crashed her car, which had two small children.
Her 9-year-old son and daughter, who was just 2 weeks old, were hospitalized, writes NBC New York.
The court accused Fontana of using and storing drugs and applied the rule of Leandra’s law to her. She was instructed not to approach children.
The Leandra Act provides for depriving a driver of a license or obtaining a prison sentence from 4 to 15 years for the driver to be in a state of intoxication when a child was in the car. The law is named after the 11-year-old girl who died on the October 11 2009 of the year in a traffic accident due to a drunk driver. A driver whose blood is more than 0,8% alcohol is considered to be drunk in the state of New York.
