In Moscow, they chose the name for the square in the Presnensky district near the American embassy. Now, the previously unnamed square at the intersection of Konyushkovskaya Street and Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane is called "the square of the Donetsk People's Republic," reports MK.

278 registered users with a full account on mos.ru. 44,69% voted for the option "the square of the Donetsk People's Republic". In the voting, it was indicated that if this option wins, another square or street will be selected to give the name in honor of the “LPR”.

Another 31,54% voted for the name "Square of the Defenders of Donbass", 8,33% - for the option "Square of the Hero of Russia Vladimir Zhoga". 15,44% decided that the choice of name should be delegated to specialists.

Earlier, the Moscow City Duma proposed to perpetuate the city on the map in memory of the defenders of Donbass. The government of the capital received appeals from citizens with various names. It was decided to bring this issue to a citywide vote.
