For the first time, Miami will host Russian Film Week

September 29 with the film “About Love. For adults only" - a project by Anna Melikyan starring John Malkovich and Ingeborga Dapkunaite - will open the first "Russian Cinema Week" in the history of the state of Florida, which will last up to October 5.

The film forum program includes 15 films at once, for most of which these will be premieres in the United States. This is the acclaimed drama “After You” with Sergei Bezrukov, and the thriller “Collector” with Konstantin Khabensky, and the documentary “Too Free a Man” about Boris Nemtsov, and the historical drama “Anna Karenina. The Story of Vronsky" with Elizaveta Boyarskaya, and the main hit of the summer of 2017 in Russia is the comedy "Grandmother of Easy Virtue" with Alexander Revva.

All films will be shown in the cinema. O cinema miami beach, located on Miami Beach. The organizer of the “Week” is the company Russian Movies Miami, which over the past year and a half has introduced residents of South Florida to such novelties of Russian cinema as “Crew,” “Earthquake,” “Hammer” and “Breakfast at Dad’s.”

“Russian Cinema Week” will take place just a few weeks after Hurricane Irma. We hope that after all the troubles that the residents of Miami and the surrounding area have had to endure, they will be able to truly relax at the cinema. The films that we managed to bring this fall will not leave anyone indifferent. In addition, a free screening of the animation project with a photo session and a festive program will be organized especially for our young viewers on October 1,” said the head of the company, Marianna Agekyan.

Some films during Russian Film Week will be accompanied by English subtitles.
