In California, the police arrested the Tesla driver: he deliberately sent a car with 4 people into the abyss
A 41-year-old California man has been arrested for attempted murder after police said he deliberately drove off a cliff with a woman and 2 children in his car, reports CNN.
All four Tesla passengers survived the accident on January 2. The car crashed into the abyss on a rocky beach from a height of 76 meters about 30 km south of San Francisco.
According to Brian Pottenger, commander of the California coast fire battalion, in addition to the driver, there were an adult woman, a 9-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl in the car.

According to Pottenger, when rescuers arrived, all four passengers were conscious, and two children were fastened to car seats, they remained unharmed. According to officials, everyone ended up locked in a wrecked car.
While firefighters climbed down the cliff to the car, other rescuers watched through binoculars.
“We were able to see movement in the front seat through the windshield,” Pottenger said. “So we knew we had at least one person who was alive.”
The brigades freed two children and with the help of a rope lifted them to a rock in baskets. Later, a California Highway Patrol helicopter lifted the two adults to safety.
