A group of people parachuted from a skyscraper in Miami: the incident was caught on video
On December 31 in the evening in Brickell, a witness camera caught representatives of the deadly sport BASE jumping from the 50th floor of a skyscraper in Miami, reports Local10.

BASE is an extreme sport. This is an acronym for four categories of fixed objects from which you can jump: Building (building), Antenna (antenna), Span (span) and Earth (earth (cliff)). Competitors leave a fixed object, such as a cliff, and after an additional free-fall delay, deploy a parachute to slow their descent and land.
The witness who recorded the video wants answers to the question of how this can be allowed. Security personnel at the 50-story Icon Brickell Tower 3, also known as the W Miami Hotel Tower, at 485 Brickell Ave., were investigating.

The video shows three BASE jumpers falling towards the Brickell Avenue bridge as fireworks appear over the horizon. Three of their comrades watched from the top of the building.
With their parachutes deployed, the three jumpers landed on Miami Circle, a nearby archaeological site overlooking the mouth of the Miami River near Biscayne Bay.

The manager of The W Miami, who works on the building's first 15 floors, said the hotel staff were unaware of base jumping.
The Miami Police Department did not provide an incident report. While there is no law in Florida specifically banning base jumping from skyscrapers, trespassing and disorderly conduct are offenses punishable by arrest.
