A California businessman donates more than a million dollars to students and schoolchildren in the city of Paradise, which has completely burned down as a result of forest fires.

89-year-old Bob Wilson lives 800 kilometers from this city and has never been there. However, the footage of the destruction amazed him so much that he decided to at least do something to help the townspeople, writes “Voice of America«.

“I didn’t know anything about Paradise, I had never been there, but we all saw photographs of the destruction,” says the businessman. “And if you’re not impressed, there’s probably something wrong with you.” A thousand dollars won't build them a house or send them back to school. But if they at least feel that someone cares about them, I will already be satisfied.”

Wilson pledged to write checks for $1,000 and personally deliver them to every student and employee at the school. There are no conditions.

Wilson admits that in 2015, when one of his fish restaurants burned down in San Diego, he was approached by caring people from the community.

Therefore, with his gesture, Bob wants to return hope for the best to victims of the deadliest fires in the history of the state. He wants the townspeople to feel that someone cares about them.

Meanwhile, 475 people remain missing in California. Forest fires in California began on November 8. Now the 95% firemen control the spread of fire.
