A pedophile who escaped from the USA was detained in Belarus
Belarusian law enforcement authorities detained a man suspected of committing sexual acts against children. He arrived in Minsk, hiding from prosecution by the American police.
The detainee turned out to be a Minsk dweller, 1985, born in the United States. Once in sight of the American police in connection with viewing and storing child pornography, the young man returned to Belarus, where he continued to break the law. The investigation established that over the past two years he had committed sexual acts against a young girl.
A criminal case on 3, article 167 (“violent acts of a sexual nature committed against a deliberately minor”) of the Criminal Code of Belarus, was initiated against the man by law enforcement agencies of the republic. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
