Industrial production of moonshine is starting in Belarus - at the first stage, two types will be produced: “Traditional”, with a strength of 42 degrees, and “Fierce”, with a strength of 47 degrees, said a representative of the Slonim winery (Grodno region).
“The Slonim winery was the first in the country to receive a license for the industrial production of moonshine,” the interlocutor said, explaining that previously moonshine in Belarus was officially produced in small volumes in the territories of ethno-museum complexes.
The representative of the plant noted that for the production of moonshine Slonim winery purchased unique equipment made to order. According to him, the Slonim product does not have an unpleasant smell, often accompanying the moonshine, and smells of bread.
A new alcoholic beverage will be sold in a wide distribution network, including in the duty-free shops of Duty Free.
