Demonstrators in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, are deciding whether to move the meeting to a new place. At the moment they are on Baghramian Avenue. Police require them to move to Freedom Square.

One of the organizers of the rally “No to robbery!” Vaginak Shushanyan claims that the demonstrators have split into two camps. Some want to go to Freedom Square. Others are not going to give in to the authorities and want to stay in their previous place. According to Shushanyan, those who want to continue the rally on Baghramyan Avenue must be aware of the consequences of this.
Numerous police forces surrounded Bagramyan Avenue. In addition to water cannons, even armored vehicles arrived. The security forces are ready to establish public order after 23.00 in local time.
