At the Florida airport, a boa constrictor was found in a passenger's suitcase: she stated that she needed the animal for emotional support
Transportation and security personnel at Tampa International Airport in Florida found a 15m long boa constrictor on Dec. 1,2. It was hidden in the woman's luggage, reports New York Daily News.
The traveler told security that the snake, named Bartholomew, was actually her "emotional support animal". The woman asked that the snake be allowed to fly with her.

In the end, the airline barred Bartholomew from landing, agency spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein wrote in a tweet.
“This bag contains dangerous noodles...,” the agency said on Instagram. “Our officers at Tampa International Airport did not find this funny!”
The social media post also showed an x-ray showing the boa constrictor curled up in the woman's luggage.

Airlines never allow snakes in carry-on baggage, and few will allow them in checked bags - as long as the animal is properly packaged.
The snake was unharmed in the incident and was returned home, officials said.
