Fell from a height of 30 meters: a woman fell off a cliff while hiking in Oregon
A woman died after falling almost 100 feet (30 m) while walking near Columbia River Gorge in Oregon on August 19. The edition told in more detail USA Today.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was walking with friends on the Multnomah Falls Lerch mountain trail, which is near Portland, when she fell and suffered a serious head injury, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The sheriff's office said first responders arrived at the scene around 13:15 p.m. and learned that bystanders were giving the woman CPR while they were still on the road.
Corbett rescue workers reached the woman about 2,1 km from the start of the trail and said she died at the scene. The sheriff's office said her identity would be released after notifying the family.

Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in Oregon and the most popular recreational spot in the Pacific Northwest. About 30 million people visit this place, which is about 2 minutes from Portland, according to the US Forest Service.
