The famous Russian poet Andrei Dementyev died

Russian poet, radio and TV presenter Andrey Dementiev 26 passed away in June at the age of 89.

The writer died in a Moscow hospital, where he was hospitalized after feeling worse, writes Lenta.ru report.

According to the poet's wife Anna Pugach, Dementiev died from a complication after a cold, writes RIA News.

"90 years from what can die?" From everything, a lot of diseases, ”she explained.

On the hospitalization of the writer became known 10 June. Then Pugach denied the information about the poet’s poor state of health and explained that this was a planned visit to a doctor.

“We went to the Botkin hospital, now he (Dementiev) is at home, he feels well,” she noted.

Andrei Dementiev was born on July 16 of the year 1928. Among the most famous of his poems - "Do not dare forget the teachers," "Do not be offended by the children," "To be an old man - not an easy thing," "Never regret anything." Songs on his poems performed Lyudmila Zykina, Vadim Mulerman, Sofia Rotaru and others.

In addition, from 1981 to 1992, the poet headed the popular literary magazine Yunost. In 1990, he began working in television and radio as a correspondent and presenter.
