Ukrainian minister claims his wife gave birth in the USA by chance

Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan explained why his wife, designer Svetlana Bevza, gave birth in New York in response to public criticism. He also had to respond to criticism regarding payment for childbirth. “We are somewhat fortunate to take advantage of the New York State law, which makes it possible for everyone to have free births by signing up for a free insurance policy. We give birth in a regular clinic. The cost of staying in the States for us is actually the rent of a 30-meter apartment and food, which will be reflected accordingly in my declaration for 2018,” the minister emphasized.
