Ukraine has banned entry to male Russians: all the details

This was stated by the head of the State Border Service Pyotr Tsigikal at a meeting of the heads of security agencies to strengthen defense under the leadership of President Petro Poroshenko.

“Russian men aged 16 to 60 years are not allowed into the country,” he clarified.

“At checkpoints to Ukraine, a risk group will be identified. These foreign citizens will be subject to intensive interviews to determine the purpose of their visit to our country. They will also be checked against all existing databases to see if the citizen has violated the rules of entry into the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. If a person cannot confirm the purpose of his trip, he will be denied entry,” said Andrey Demchenko, speaker of the State Border Service.

According to Zigikal, the only exception for admittance to the country for such persons are humanitarian objectives. As an example, he called the funeral.

In connection with the innovation at checkpoints increased control.

“Strengthened control measures are being implemented at checkpoints. Currently, the entry of foreigners, primarily citizens of the Russian Federation, is limited. Russian citizens aged 16 to 60 years old – males – are not admitted,” Tsigikal emphasized.

He also clarified that in connection with the introduction of martial law, the border is protected by an enhanced version.

“As for citizens of Ukraine, there are no restrictions,” the head of the State Border Guard Service clarified.

At the same time, President Poroshenko said that it is necessary to tighten the requirements for the registration of Russian citizens.

“I ask you to submit your proposal to me within 24 hours for approval,” he emphasized.

In turn, Tsigikal said that regime activities had been strengthened in the area of ​​the environment.

“Together with the National Police, we are creating additional posts to check vehicles,” the official said.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has already stated that Russia will not introduce as a retaliatory measure restrictions on the entry of male citizens of Ukraine aged from 16 to 60 years.
