Anxiety on the International Space Station was false
As reported by the US Space Agency (NASA), the International Space Station (ISS), with which an alarm has arrivedthat forced the astronauts to evacuate from the US and move to the Russian section, no one was hurt and no one was threatened.
According to NASA, all six crew members, who are now in the Russian module, "are safe and feel good."
The alarm was caused by a possible leakage of ammonia. However, a NASA spokesman called this a “false alarm” because the leak was not confirmed by any specific data.
After the alarm was heard, the Americans hurried to move to the Russian part of the station and closed the hatch behind them. This precaution had to be resorted to after the ground control system detected an increase in water pressure in one of the circuits of the station's cooling system, which could indicate a possible leakage of ammonia.
Ammonia is used in the cooling and heating systems of the ISS, writes Voice of America.
