The New York Times newspaper found that the mining company Uranium One, which became Russian in 2013, transferred money to the Clinton Foundation.

This deal provided Russia with control of one-fifth of the ore deposits in the United States, since the uranium deposits of the Canadian-registered company extend from Central Asia to the western United States.

Since uranium is considered a strategic product, the deal had to be approved by the committee, which included representatives of the American authorities, including the State Department, headed at the time by Hillary Clinton, the newspaper writes.

In the process of acquiring Rosatom control over Uranium One from 2009 to 2013, the company’s transfer of funds to the Clinton Fund in the amount of $ 2,35 million was also recorded.
