The FBI officers arrested a man who, according to intelligence, planned to throw a powerful explosive device into the synagogue of the Jewish center Aventura Turnberry in South Florida. This is reported by the TV channel wsvn.com.

The terrorist attack was scheduled for Friday evening, April 29, the last day of Passover, when hundreds of people, including many children, gathered in the synagogue building. Local residents learned about the terrorist's arrest this morning.

“I am horrified by the turn of events. It's a very scary world around us. And you know what? I don't think anyone is safe anywhere. We always thought that we lived in an area where everything was calm. But it turned out that danger is very close,” local resident Kim Tepper told reporters.

The TV channel reports that they detained a suspect as a result of a secret investigation, which the FBI agents conducted over the past few weeks. It is also reported that a man recently converted to Islam. His name has not yet been called, the details of the operation are also kept secret. However, reporters learned that the suspect would be delivered to a federal court earlier this week.
