Mysterious billionaire has children around the world

For the third year, the Japanese billionaire Mitsuoki Sighet demands from the authorities of the country to return his children. The police have already found 15 offspring eccentric Japanese, but they may be much more. Many fear that the billionaire is raising an entire army of descendants, which will help him seize power.

Vassana found out about the company New Life from sister. The firm invited women who wish to have a child for infertile couples from abroad. They promised to pay ten thousand dollars for the service.

For a 30-year-old woman from Bangkok, it was a lot of money. Vassana finished nine classes and earned street trade: she sold Thai sweets to tourists. Money barely enough to live on, so she did not get out of debt. In addition to her and her eight-year-old son, seven more relatives huddled in the tiny apartment with a mold on the walls.

Vassana decided that this was her chance, called in New Life and agreed to become a surrogate mother. She did not know who her client was, but decided to do without unnecessary questions.

In June, Vassan gave birth to 2013, and two months later she first met the father of the child. The long-haired Japanese man in a wrinkled shirt did not say a word to her, did not even introduce himself, but only smiled and nodded.

His lawyer demanded to sign a waiver of parental rights in favor of the client, which the woman did without unnecessary questions.

A year later, Vassana saw her client on TV. The news showed a police raid in a suburb of Bangkok. Nine children from two weeks to two years old, seven nannies and a pregnant woman were found in the condominium. Then the Japanese appeared on the screen. Voice-over explained that all the children found belonged to this person. Upon learning of the raid, he bought a ticket for the next flight to Macau and flew out of the country.

Sigat

Mitsuoki Shigeta is 24 years old. There is very little information about his life and business. Shigeta is rumored to have a business in Cambodia, a luxury apartment in Hong Kong and a financial firm in Japan, but there is no confirmation of this.

Despite the lack of official information, almost no one doubts that Mitsuoki Shigeta's father is one of the richest people in Japan, the founder of Hikari Tsusin, Yasumitsu Shigeta, whose fortune was estimated at 43 billion dollars. Judging by the financial documentation and the list of shareholders of the company, the billionaire’s son has the same name and date of birth as Mitsuoki’s.

The police suggests that Sigat began to look for surrogate mothers for his children in 2012, but showed interest in Thailand even earlier. He visited the country regularly since 2010, and in four years he was there more than 40 times. According to unconfirmed reports, during this time the Japanese spent at least 500 thousand dollars on surrogate mothers. They were implanted with fertilized eggs donated by donors from Australia, USA, Sweden, China, Spain, Brazil, Malaysia and Israel.

No one knows for sure how many children Sighet has. DNA testing has already confirmed paternity in 15 cases, and this is probably not the end. In the Bangkok condominium, which the police searched, was registered 21 child. Most of them had already left the country, and the Japanese took four of them to neighboring Cambodia personally. Three more children of Shigat live in Japan, but nothing is known about their origin.

Mariam Kukunashvili from the company New Lifecollaborated with Vassana, argues that the Japanese were not limited to Thailand. She had heard of his trips to India, where surrogate mothers had given birth to Sighet of at least two children. In addition, according to her, in 2011, he paid 100 thousands of dollars to surrogate mothers in Ukraine.

In Bangkok, Sigaty had an established assembly line for the production of children. His agents supplied women, trusted doctors closely monitored their health during pregnancy, then a caesarean section - and another newborn is sent to a condominium apartment. At this point, lawyers who draw up parental rights and documents for the child take up the case.

The director of the Interpol bureau of Thailand admitted that Sigeta’s motives are puzzling him. “So far I can say that I have never seen anything like it,” he said. “We are trying to understand what kind of person you need to be in order to have so many children.” At first, the police suspected that it was a question of trafficking in persons or exploitation of child labor, but the investigators could not prove either. There was a version that children are bred for stem cells, but this assumption was not confirmed either.

Founder New Life Mariam Kukunashvili claims that Sigaty’s plan was far crazier. The Japanese told her that he intended to build an army of loyal followers, which would lead him to power.

“He wanted to win the election and use his large family to vote,” she said. “He said that he would start from 10 to 15 children a year and would not stop until he died.”

Short collaboration New Life and Sigata began in 2012, when he hired two surrogate mothers through this company.

“As soon as they became pregnant, he demanded more,” says Kukunashvili. This seemed strange to her, and doubts only intensified when she learned of three more surrogate mothers whom the Japanese found through another agency. To top it off, he tried to buy a cryogenic sperm machine for her at home.

After that, Kukunashvili wrote about her suspicions to the Interpol headquarters in France, as well as to the Japanese embassy and Sigete himself. Only a Japanese lawyer replied. The letter said that his client does not deceive anyone, does not violate anything, and very much hopes to continue cooperation with New Life.

Litigation

Sigata himself does not deny that he dreams of dozens of descendants, but gives his actions a different explanation. He claims that he needs heirs who will share his fortune when he dies.

The staff of the Japanese confirm that he was taking care of the offspring. According to the nannies, Sigheta regularly visited children in the Bangkok condominium. Thai authorities reported that in January 2015, his father decided to see the grandchildren.

“These are legitimate children,” his former lawyer defended Shigatu. - They have birth certificates. In their name are buying property. They have savings accounts in the bank, investments. If he had been selling children, why all this? ”

His arguments did not convince the authorities of the country. All 12 Shigat children found in Thailand ended up in a public shelter. The child was left only to a pregnant surrogate mother, who was found in a condominium. A month after the raid, she gave birth to a son and is now raising her herself under the supervision of social services.

In December, 2014, 6 surrogate mothers who worked for the Sighet, sued the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and demanded the return of the children, who, in their opinion, were illegally sent to a shelter. A month later, the court returned three children, but the fate of the others has not yet been decided.

For the fourth year, the Japanese have been fighting with the authorities of Thailand for their children. 8 February, he again appeared in court - though not personally, but by video link. Although he is not accused of anything, Sighet fears returning to Thailand. The verdict is expected no earlier than February 20 and is unlikely to be final.

As for Vassana, she never saw her child again. Most likely, he now lives in Cambodia. Sigata's money was only enough to repay debts. The woman lives in the same apartment, and there is still mold on the walls.
