Steven Seagal will teach aikido children in Kazakhstan

American actor Stephen Seagal will hold a master class on aikido for children in Astana.

Seagal accepted an invitation to the International Martial Arts Festival, which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan as part of the City Day. The seventh dan holder in Aikido will take part in the celebrations as a guest of honor.

In addition to the Hollywood actor, the first in the history of Astana martial arts festival invited the best masters in 12 disciplines such as Thai boxing, jujitsu, hand-to-hand combat, bujinkan, capoeira, kendo, teikvondo and karate. The athletes from China, Japan, South Korea, the Czech Republic, the USA and Russia will take part in demonstration battles.

Seagal traveled to Kazakhstan in 2011 for the second Astana International Action Film Festival, along with other Hollywood actors, including Michael Madsen, who played Mr. Blondin in Mad Dogs Quentin Tarantino, and the star of the TV series “Survivor” Michel Rodriguez.

Since seven years old, Seagal has been engaged in martial arts and has lived for about 20 years in Japan, where he trained with aikido teachers and also taught himself.

Seagal is known. mostly filming in action movies. On his account about 50 films, including “Neither Alive nor Dead”, “Extreme Depth”, “Today You Die” and “Machete”.
