Details of the second Trump-Putin meeting at the G20 Summit

US President Donald Trump himself spoke about the second, unplanned short meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in an interview The New York Times.
The fact that a short conversation took place during an official dinner in Hamburg was confirmed by the representative of the White House, Sarah Sanders. She reported that participation in the dinner was announced in advance.
“It was an official dinner, it was organized by the German Chancellor. More than 40 people were there. They had a short conversation during a formal dinner. I won't go into details. It would be extremely awkward if they sat at dinner and didn’t talk to each other,” Sanders responded to reporters’ questions.
When asked whether the leaders had discussed the issue of sanctions, she once again voiced the White House’s statement that the leaders had discussed only the sanctions associated with Russia's intervention in the US elections.
The American president himself said in an interview that the meeting at dinner lasted no more than 15 minutes. Donald Trump came up to greet his wife Melania, who was sitting next to Vladimir Putin during dinner.
“Dinner was already ending and it was time for dessert. I just went to say hello to Melania, and at the same time said hello to Putin. In fact, it was just a simple exchange of pleasantries. The conversation was short. Maybe 15 minutes. We just talked,” Trump said.
In addition, he noted that during the conversation with Putin, the topic of adoption was raised. Since 2013, the Russian Federation has a law that prohibits American adoption of Russian children. And this issue was already discussed in June 2016 of the year during the meeting of Donald Trump Jr. and guests from Russia.
The Kremlin also confirmed today that at the G20 summit there was a second conversation between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, but refused to regard it as secret.
