US allowed access to web services from Crimea

The US Treasury clarified the procedure for imposing sanctions imposed on Crimea. This is reported on the site office.

It is about using software and Internet services. According to the text of the license, a number of network functions are derived from the sanctions.

Private data exchange via the Internet, instant messaging, chat rooms and email, social networks, photo and movie sharing, web browsing and blogging are allowed provided that such services are widely available to the public at no cost to the user.

At the same time, the provision of services and the use of software are still prohibited in the interests of persons on the sanction lists.

It is also prohibited, in particular, to provide web hosting services for commercial purposes and register domains for the Crimea.

US President Barack Obama signed a decree on new sanctions against Russia 19 December 2014 of the year. According to this decision, Washington is blocking the assets of any individuals and companies associated with the Crimea.

The decree prohibits new investments by residents of the United States in the Crimea, the import of goods, services, technologies in the United States from the Crimea, as well as the export, re-export, sale and supply of goods, services and technologies from the United States or persons living in the United States to the Crimea.

In addition, Obama has forbidden Americans to conduct any business with companies that are controlled by the inhabitants of the Crimea, and also have any financial or material relations with these individuals. Also in the US, entry is prohibited to anyone who falls under the decree.
